7 December: BKO Update

Each year an international website devoted to orienteering runs a poll to find the ‘best course’ in the year. Out of thousands of courses that might be considered, about 70 are then nominated for a public vote.  This year, Martin Wilson’s course for the Elite at the second day of this year’s Scottish 6 Days has been nominated. As a public vote, anyone can join in and select Martin’s course (or any other) for the award. Note that you can vote for 5 courses and that there is a free draw for some prizes of entry to certain international orienteering events.  This is all happening at World of O: http://omaps.worldofo.com/course2015.php  Please take a look and, if you agree, select Martin’s course.

Other Clubs’ Events

Sunday, 20th December – Southern Navigators – SN Trophy

This may be very close to Christmas but why not try and get out before the Christmas festivities? This is a Level B event and should provide all competitors with a good challenge.  The area, Ash Ranges, is near Aldershot and is a mixture of open heathland pine and deciduous forest. Pre-entry is open until 13th December.  Full details are on the SN website at: http://www.southernnavigators.com/web_documents/sntrophy2015_ash.pdf
