If you are making the long trek north this Easter and would like to be in a team at the JK Relays at Dipton on Easter Monday, 13th April, please contact Katy Stubbs - - who has volunteered to co-ordinate the teams this year. Please let her know by 23rd February at the latest, preferably earlier.
The AGM will take place at Hurst Village hall on Friday 13th
February starting at 7pm. Any motions for consideration should be
addressed to the secretary before the 6th Feb. The formal notice of the meeting is in the January newsletter.
As many of you know, the club is helping at download at the British Relays at Beaulieu on 1st March. However, in between our duties there, we will have time to run out and enjoy the forest and the delight of copmpeting on a new area.
The SCOA Junior Squad are organising an event on Wednesday 29 October at Chawton Park Wood near Alton. This forms part of the military mid-week league but the event is open to everyone. 5 courses will be available (Brown, Blue, Light Green, Red and Yellow) at the bargain price of £2 (plus £1 emit card hire if needed).
There will be a SCOA planners course on 25th
October in Crowthorne. It is aimed primarily at those planning colour-coded
(district) courses although the techniques and principles are also applicable
to higher level events.
