An invitation to a New Year's Day Score Event

Location: Car parking is on forest rides. The entrance to the area will be signed from the A332 at grid reference SU903661. For Sat-Nav users, the nearest usable postcode is SL5 8AZ, which is a sawmill on the opposite (western) side of the main road approximately 1km north of the car park entrance.
Terrain: The area is mixed woodland with some areas of rhododendron and a good number of paths
Facilities: This will be a low key event, so we are offering no facilities apart from the orienteering! Please note in particular that there will be NO TOILETS. Please take necessary action beforehand. (The nearest toilets are probably those at the LookOut - SU876662).
Courses: This is a 60 minute Score Event using Emit and a (mass) punching start. We will have sufficient 'simple' controls for younger/less experienced orienteers. Maps will be bagged but not sealed.
Registration: Registration from 9:45 to 10:45. Call-up at -5 minutes. Mass Start at 11:00.
Fees: £5.00 Seniors and £2.00 Juniors. This includes reduction for BOF members. Emit hire £1.00 if you do not have yoru own.
