Hello again, everyone, and welcome to the new O season. You will have seen in the recent Newsletter that we have now formalised the Rankings Performance System we trialled during the spring, and it has now become the BKO Personal Performance System. The principle remains as before, to encourage visibility of good performances whatever your standard, and hopefully encourage us all to compete at more events.
We’ve all been finding ranking points hard to come by this year, I know. The good news though is that our rankings have all now come down, so our average target is now easier to reach! Ranking points for the SOC regional event on Sunday have now been posted to the BOF website, so I have calculated the RP% for the ten BKO members who attended. I was unable to go myself, so unfortunately cannot comment on the event. The ‘Hot ROD’ Awards for this event go to:
|
GOLD Award |
Susan Wilkes |
103.8% |
|
SILVER Award |
David Jukes |
97.2% |
|
BRONZE Award |
Simon Turton |
96.7% |
Congratulations to Susan on her first appearance on the ‘podium’. Good results from David and Simon should come close to helping them hold on to their ranking. It was also good to see that Ian Cooper is now back in the forest, let’s hope Ian can build back to his best before long.
Full PPS scores so far for Autumn 2011 are available at PSS Autumn 2011 Results
The next Performance Event is our own BKO Regional Event at Hawley on 25th September. I hope we will have a large turnout of members on the day. We're going to trial a League and a Cup within PPS this autumn, for a bit of extra fun. Details are in the Overview. Our BKO event will be the first round of the Cup – to win it, you must be in it, so come to Hawley!
Best wishes for the season to come.
