PPS Scores for Event 1: HH & NWO 22/01/12

The results of our Spring season's first PPS day are provided here. I’ve made a retrospective decision to include results from the NWO West Woods event as well as the HH results. Firstly, this gives more results for the overall day, and secondly it tests out one idea I wanted to try, of having multiple counting events on one day. Thus last Sunday has now become a ‘Performance Day’. I’ll bet that any low scorers now wish they’d gone to the other event!

I attach the workbook of the combined day’s results. The first spreadsheet shows only those people who competed, and the second sheet also includes all previous competitors, their category and number of ranking runs so far, giving a complete list. These make the results more instantly readable, but with all the data available if you want it.

It’s interesting to note that the new ‘top-slicing’ scoring for Category B has kicked in already for all three of the Seniors award winners. Alan’s excellent result would have been a whopping 127% last season. Now if any of us Cat A runners could only run our best, we could just about challenge Alan’s result. Well done to Alan and James for their outstanding runs. Club champion Alain is managing to hit his revised ranking, so he’s clearly also going well.
